Queen Bee Wood Plaques
Three coats of paint, lots of cutting and glueing, three coats of sealer, beading and wiring, and finally they’re done. I had fun making them even with all the time involved.

Bohemian style headband with Black Skull or Calavera design stitched on, also some red and black lace. I made these out of some fabric I had around the house and put a couple of them up for sale in my Etsy store. Also made a couple to wear myself.

This one has a goddess motiff and sheer ribbon and metallic seed beads stitched on.
These are photo’s of a wood cover memory book I just finished. I stained the wood with walnut stain then collaged the front with all sorts of ephemera, ribbons, charms, acrylic paints, oil pastels, copies of vintage photo’s, buttons, a collaged hang tag, vintage sheet music.
Inside the book are sheet protectors, the kind you buy in the office or school supply dept. of any store. I cut scrapbooking papers down to size and put two sheets in each protector. These can be taken out and decorated with photo’s, collage, journaling , etc. The whole book comes apart easily with the two pieces of hardware that screws it together to make working with it easy or to add more pages.
I bought the unfinished book from an online wholesaler of unfinished wood crafts about 8 years ago, they’ve been in a box in the back of my closet for that long. Did some housecleaning and found all sorts of craft projects to play with.
I have this book up for auction on Ebay right now. I included the four collaged tags and the Cricut cut letters shown in the photo’s. My Ebay seller name is briar_rose_prims.

These are a few spreads from an altered book I made with a dark or gothic theme. I used a lot of images of demons and angels. There are words taken from magazines with phrases like “hells highway” , ” the devils handmaiden”, as well as some tag art done by myself. The pages are all covered with acrylic paints in black and red with some of the books original art and print showing thru. The first spread features a playing card, the joker from an old vintage Virginia Slims deck. The card has a door cut into it that lifts up to show a couple pages of images that you can flip thru like a tiny book inside the main book. This book is listed in my Etsy store.
