Queen Bee Wood Plaques
Three coats of paint, lots of cutting and glueing, three coats of sealer, beading and wiring, and finally they’re done. I had fun making them even with all the time involved.

These are photo’s of a wood cover memory book I just finished. I stained the wood with walnut stain then collaged the front with all sorts of ephemera, ribbons, charms, acrylic paints, oil pastels, copies of vintage photo’s, buttons, a collaged hang tag, vintage sheet music.
Inside the book are sheet protectors, the kind you buy in the office or school supply dept. of any store. I cut scrapbooking papers down to size and put two sheets in each protector. These can be taken out and decorated with photo’s, collage, journaling , etc. The whole book comes apart easily with the two pieces of hardware that screws it together to make working with it easy or to add more pages.
I bought the unfinished book from an online wholesaler of unfinished wood crafts about 8 years ago, they’ve been in a box in the back of my closet for that long. Did some housecleaning and found all sorts of craft projects to play with.
I have this book up for auction on Ebay right now. I included the four collaged tags and the Cricut cut letters shown in the photo’s. My Ebay seller name is briar_rose_prims.

These are some collage art tags I made for my Etsy store. I’ve used large manila shipping tags that can be purchased in most office supply stores. These fairy tags have stitching around the edges that I did with embroidery floss to give them a little more texture. The backgrounds are pieces of pages that I cut out of a victorian style day planner. These were pages left over after I used the main part of the book to make an altered book about angels. The angel book is still a work in progress.
